Where did you complete your studies?

I graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Târgu Mureș in 2005. In 2012, I obtained my specialist qualification in neurology at the Neurology Department of the Mureș County Hospital.

Following this, I worked for six months in Paris at the Lariboisière Hospital in the Stroke and Rare Diseases Department, and another six months in the Neurology Department in Meaux, while also taking on shifts in the Emergency Department.

From 2013, I spent 10 years at the Neurology Department of Sopron’s Erzsébet Hospital, serving as an assistant professor from 2020. I joined the DokiApp team in 2024.

What professional experience do you have?

As a resident and later as a specialist, I built my neurological expertise through extensive training and international experience. In addition to the mandatory internships, I was awarded several scholarships that enabled me to complete a one-year internship at the Neurology Clinic of the University of Debrecen’s Clinical Center, participate twice in six-week internships at the Neurology Clinic of Semmelweis University in Budapest, and spend six weeks at the Stroke Department of Lille University Hospital.

Through my rotations in internal medicine, psychiatry, and cardiology, I also gained insight into related fields. I have participated in numerous professional and communication training courses, as well as national and international conferences, to remain up to date with the latest research and methods.

My current field of interest is scattered attention, with a focus on enhancing both professional and personal effectiveness and satisfaction through coaching tools.

In what cases can people turn to you?

  • Neurological symptoms, diseases, or suspected conditions.

  • Providing information on possible underlying conditions for specific symptoms and whether a specialist examination is necessary.

  • Advising on the urgency of a specialist examination and recommending the appropriate healthcare facility.

  • Helping patients prepare for an already scheduled neurology appointment, including what information to collect and what to expect during the examination.

  • Reviewing test results until the patient can return to the referring physician.

  • Offering online consultations regarding the effectiveness, side effects, or interactions of ongoing medication.

Why did you start writing?

I value a health-conscious lifestyle and aim to focus on prevention and disease avoidance. I believe the first step toward this is acquiring reliable, evidence-based knowledge.

In the case of an illness or symptom, I consider it crucial for individuals to receive accurate, useful information as soon as possible, reducing the sense of losing control. Anxiety about symptoms can cause unnecessary fear—something that quick and reliable information can often ease or completely dispel.

I believe that in today’s world, searching for answers online is inevitable when a disease is suspected. This is why I find it essential to provide scientifically grounded yet engaging and accessible information. Another important aim is to ensure that people who doubt the significance of a symptom, or those reluctant to seek medical care because they don’t know what to expect, can have their questions answered—encouraging them to seek timely examinations and effective treatment instead of delaying.
